ANALYSIS
What surprises the most about Paraisspolis is that, despite being a favela, urbanization came before edification (due to low-class families invasion of the territory).
PROPOSAL (we focus on)
_CONNECTIVITY: by expanding a road of the grid it becomes the main avenue slightly blurring the boundaries.
_CONTINUITY: by extending some of the existing roads and adding green corridors following the path of old rivers where edification is highly damaged.
_PUBLIC SPACE AS GENERATOR + EXPANSION OF CULTURE: the new section preserves some of the existing edification, extends the sidewalk and defines a new façade, different in height. The green-transit avenues intersections combine soft and hard squares, some of them occupied by equipments in order to spread culture and ensure activity.

Emptying to rebuild investing on a higher life quality.
