CASA TOSQUELLA . SMALL INTERVENTION
/PROJECT BY NÚRIA CASTELLS + EISABET FÀBREGA + MERI PERELLÓ
/DEVELOPED AT ETSAB- UPC
/FACULTY JOSEP MARIA GIL
The rather irregular, amorphous surface adopts the shape it requires in each place:
growing from the sidewalk, attaching the dividing wall, behaving as a fence and finally becoming a porched entrance.
The basements connect both sides of the plot at the same level. That's why one corner lays in a lower level, leaving not physical but visual connection with pedestrians.
The mesh
is composed of wooden triangulations, differently orientated,
incorporating glass when covering indoor spaces or lamellas filtering the light where outdoors.
