First of all, we need to understand and respect the exigencies and characteristics not only of the site but also of the people it will host. The new market will have a socio-cultural identity.

The starting point is considering the market not only as an economical transaction between two people through the exchange of products, but to bring it further to a social exchange and a meeting point, those it is considered a rather public place where positive relations of different complementary activities take place.

In order to achieve continuity so as to be considered an extension of the public space (like a square), it will offer multiple entrances.

Once inside, the routes one can take are not lineal or strongly defined, but rather multiple. The overall organization is clear, while still offering a huge, free and rather flexible space anticipating future adaptation (intentions and needs vary over time).

The market stands are hexagonal modular units.

Their geometry broadens the exposition area and, thus, the seller-buyer contact.

The floor is slightly inclined to guarantee easy diary higiene.
